Don’t Waste Energy, Use it.

Everyone in the 21st century knows the importance of energy consumption and the current battle of trying to be energy efficient and less wasteful. We have all been thought from a young age in school, don’t waste energy, turn off the lights when no one is in the room, turn off your console or phone charger when its not being used. The simple things that we all either just forgot to do, or took advantage of because we weren’t educated enough on the topic, or we simply did not care.
I myself think regularly about the wasting of energy. I feel as if we as a whole human race are becoming oblivious to the fact of exactly how much energy we use. Its just the normal thing that energy is going to constantly be used and we don’t take any notice. It is something I feel I could just take the reins of myself and be it just saying to a housemate or family member to unplug that when you are done or switch off that light, they are all small but important steps to personally try to help.
Some of the main steps I plan on taking to reduce my energy usage is to, shut down my computer and my gaming console when I have finished with them instead of leaving them idol and wating energy. I also plan to use red and L.E.D lights which use a severe amount of energy less than a normal light bulb would. To eliminate what is known as vampire power i.e plugging out chargers etc out of the wall as even though they are off they are still using electricity. And finally, the usual and most well-known switch off my lights after I leave the room.
I plan to take all these steps to start off as they are all quite simple really and I know that I can achieve my goal of being more environmentally friendly by taking this step.
